You can watch an almost thirty minutes long gig of Black Rebel Motorcycle Club. The Band played 5 songs: “Let The Day Begin”, “Rival”, “Hate The Taste”, “Spread Your Love” and “Lullaby”. There’s also a short interview after “Rival”. A really nice performance, check it out.
Back from my vacation, I have some great news. We Are Scientists finally published a new song. It is called “Something About You” and I would describe it as a typical WAS tune.
Check out the link for listening to “Something About You”
With the Rock Werchter Festival just four days away, here are my top 5 songs of last week. I am on my vacation until next monday, so enjoy your week everybody.
1. Honesty – Editors
The closer of their set. What a great song. I saw it live last monday and can’t wait for the performance on sunday.
2. Take Aim – Kasabian
No Werchter act here, but one of my favourite Kasabian songs. Sergio at his best.
Given that the Glastonbury Festival started two days ago, I’m even more excited for my vacation to come up. After a few days relaxing in Den Haag, I’ll go to the Rock Werchter Festival for the second consecutive year. The lineup is awesome. Here are the acts I’m going to see on thursday:
Palma Violets – They will open the second stage called the barn. I already saw them in Oxford this year. The perfect start of a big festival.
Black Rebel Motorcycle Club – One of my favourite bands of all time. One of my highlights this year. I saw them on their tour in London and Berlin,…great!
Vampire Weekend – A great band. Perfect for a festival. I saw them two years ago at the Hurricane Festival. With their new album they added some nice songs to their setlist.
Biffy Clyro – It will be the first time I see them. The new album is great, I’m really looking foward to it.
Bloc Party – Also the first time for me. This will be the perfect closer for the first day. “Banquet”, “Helicopter”, “Flux”,…wow!
Today the Arctic Monkeys announced their UK tour and a couple of shows in Germany as well. At these concerts the band will promote their new album “AM”, which features the already published tracks “R U Mine?” and “Do I Wanna Know?”. “AM” will be released in September.
Awesome, overwhelming, fantastic…there are no words to describe their show from last night. This was simply perfection. Just 300 people in a little club. Everyone of them excited to see the Editors and listen to new tracks, as well as good old classics.
The new songs were great. “Sugar”, “A Ton Of Love”, “Nothing” (played in an acoustic version), “Two Hearted Spider”, “Honesty”,…
The well known tracks were stunning too. “Bones”, “An End Has A Start”, “Eat Raw Meet – Blood Drool”, “Papillon”, “Smokers Outside The Hospital Doors”, “Racing Rats”,…
With their new album “The Weight Of Your Love” coming out friday, the Editors are well prepared for more great concerts. After some festival gigs, the band will be on tour later this year. Go and get a ticket, as this band is a must see! You can watch the whole gig via Tape TV. Just click on the link. Scroll down for some pics I was able to take.
The Vaccines presented a new song at Zane Lowe yesterday. It is called “Melody Calling” and a very nice summer tune. Check it out on the bands official website.
The sold out, exclusive showcase for the Editors’ new album “The Weight Of Your Love”, will be streamed live via their official youtube channel http://www.youtube.com/editorsofficial.
I’m one of 300 lucky people, who has a ticket. I’ll write a review the next days, right here at specteratthefeast.wordpress.com, so check back.
With the start of a new week, here are my top 5 songs of last week.
1. Fire – Kasabian
I watched a part of their set from this years “Hurricane Festival” on tv, and there is nothing other to say then Kasabian being the best live band on this planet!
